About the position

The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Research Professor of Pediatrics to join its esteemed team. This position is part of the Scientist Track Faculty and is focused on conducting both basic science and translational research aimed at addressing critical questions related to childhood illnesses. The Wells Center is home to over 200 faculty investigators, staff, and trainees who collaborate to enhance the understanding of serious pediatric diseases. The center's mission is to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for sick children, particularly in Indiana and beyond. The successful candidate will be part of the Pulmonary, Asthma and Allergy Group, which is actively looking for outstanding scientists whose research aligns with the group's interests in asthma and food allergy. Candidates with expertise in cutting-edge immunology research are particularly encouraged to apply. Specific areas of interest include immunological regulation, cell signaling, lung microbiome, cell function in allergic inflammation (including eosinophils, basophils, and mast cells), as well as lung development, remodeling, and epithelial function. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Experience in Immunology is preferred.
  • Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
