About the position

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in the Finance Division of the Leeds School of Business, specifically for the Real Estate program. This full-time faculty position is set to begin in Fall 2025 and involves teaching a variety of applied real estate courses, engaging in curriculum development, and participating in the Michael A. Klump Center for Real Estate activities. The role emphasizes teaching excellence and collaboration within a collegial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of applied real estate courses, including case analysis, real estate development, and real estate modeling and finance courses.
  • Teach seven classes per year, with possible assignments at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Engage in curriculum development, course creation, and content delivery.
  • Support the Michael A. Klump Center for Real Estate through case competitions and extracurricular programming.
  • Participate in industry events and applied research in collaboration with the Executive Director and Faculty Director.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in finance, economics, law, real estate, or a related field.
  • Commercial real estate industry-related experience, such as valuation, development, or financing/underwriting.
  • For Associate Teaching Professor level, three years of experience teaching real estate-related undergraduate and/or master's level courses.

Nice-to-haves

  • An advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, PhD, JD) in finance, economics, law, real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or master's level courses in business schools.
