The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Kennesaw State University plays a crucial role in supporting the department leadership by overseeing all athletics compliance-related activities. This position involves advising on policy changes, investigating potential violations, and representing the compliance office as needed. The role also includes supervising staff, setting performance goals, and interacting with student-athletes, coaches, and external constituents to ensure adherence to NCAA and university regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, implementation, and updates to the Kennesaw State University (KSU) athletics compliance policies and procedures
• Serves as a liaison to assigned sports and institutional constituents on all NCAA compliance matters
• Serves as the point person for assigned responsibilities surrounding Name, Image, and Likeness
• Addresses violations of NCAA rules, KSU athletics regulations, or conduct that impacts policies or the reputation of KSU
• Monitors systems, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to University, conference, NCAA, and/or other governing rules and regulations
• Provides oversight and plans the NCAA Rules Education Program for internal and external entities
• Responsible for the supervision and performance management of assigned staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
• Five (5) years of related experience

Nice-to-haves

• An advanced or Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
• Experience in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Division I athletics program
