About the position

The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations at the University of Washington will oversee the daily operations of the Husky Athletics business office, focusing on accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analytics. This role is crucial in managing the financial operations of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA), ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while fostering a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director/CFO with the annual budgeting process for ICA, including resource allocation and forecasting future revenues and expenses.
• Evaluate strategies and implement process improvements for Athletics business operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly budget reports for department budget managers and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Manage business analytics related strategy for ICA, including data visualization and financial reporting.
• Assist with the management of ICA's operational and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Facilitate financial operations meetings with sports teams and administrative unit leaders, providing updates on budget and financial issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, sport management or a related area.
• 4-5 years of related experience in NCAA Division I athletics business office or equivalent education and experience.
• Management/supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
