About the position

The Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Services will manage and oversee the inventory, ordering, and maintenance of all athletic and sports equipment for UNCW Athletics. This includes evaluating the overall operation, creating new efficient operating procedures, managing an inventory control system, and overseeing apparel logo & branding for compliance, with UNCW, conference, and NCAA. This position will also serve as the liaison for apparel, footwear, and equipment providers, ensures compliance with governing bodies including licensing, develops and monitors the Athletic equipment budget, and oversees and issues all uniform and equipment to teams, coaches and/or individuals. The Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Services is also responsible for the recruitment and management of all student, part-time, and hybrid full time staff. This position also manages all daily laundry activities for all division 1 teams and support units and will manage the delivery of packages for the department and ensures all apparel branding is consistent and compliant with guidelines.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Current certification with the AEMA or must be certified within 1 year of hire.
