The Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation at Radford University plays a pivotal role in enhancing the financial sustainability of the athletic department through various revenue-generating initiatives. This position is primarily focused on generating revenue through corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the athletic department's corporate sponsorship program, which includes not only the acquisition of new sales but also the renewal of existing accounts, activation of sponsorships, and the achievement of sales goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships within the community is essential for success in this role. In addition to managing corporate sponsorships, the Assistant Athletic Director will collaborate closely with external operations units and senior leadership to develop strategic insights and creative approaches to sponsorship and ticket sales opportunities. This collaboration aims to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall experience for sponsors and fans alike. The position also involves overseeing the activation of all corporate accounts from the initial commitment through to execution, ensuring that all sponsorship agreements are fulfilled effectively. Networking within the community is a critical aspect of this role, as the Assistant Athletic Director will be expected to actively seek out new sales leads and opportunities. Furthermore, the position will involve working with campus partners, local community members, and sponsors to develop NIL opportunities that provide additional resources to student-athletes.
