About the position

The Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation is responsible for generating revenue through corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. This role involves overseeing the athletic department's corporate sponsorship program, including new sales, account renewals, and relationship building within the community. The position collaborates with external operations and senior leadership to develop strategies for sponsorship and ticket sales, aiming to grow revenue while managing the activation of corporate accounts and networking to create new sales leads.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue through corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and NIL opportunities.
• Oversee the athletic department's corporate sponsorship program, including new sales and account renewals.
• Activate corporate accounts from commitment through execution.
• Collaborate with external operations and senior leadership to drive strategy and creative development of sponsorship and ticket sales programs.
• Network within the community to create new sales leads.
• Work with campus partners and local community members to develop NIL opportunities for student-athletes.
• Accept additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree plus education, training, and experience that equates to a Master's degree.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advertising or sports/event sponsorship.
• Proven track record of generating new business and retaining clients.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

• Corporate sales experience within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
