The Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) at San Diego State University is responsible for overseeing the Aztecs Going Pro program, which focuses on the personal and professional development of student-athletes. This role involves leading educational initiatives, coordinating resources, and fostering relationships with donors to enhance student-athlete success and engagement in their career paths.

Responsibilities

• Lead the instruction of four 1-unit courses integral to the Aztecs Going Pro program.
• Collaborate with the Student-Athlete Development staff to create and deliver programming that emphasizes personal growth, career development, civic engagement, and NIL education.
• Leverage campus and community resources to facilitate career path inventories, resource libraries, workshops, and career fairs.
• Ensure student-athletes participate in leadership development, community service, mock interviews, mentorship, and networking events.
• Cultivate relationships with prospective donors to secure funding and resources for student-athlete development.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and implement a comprehensive NIL strategic vision.

Requirements

• Proven experience in student-athlete development or a related field.
• Strong leadership and program management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, and community partners.
• Knowledge of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policies and practices.
