About the position

The Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing & Promotions at Lewis-Clark State College is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement of the college's athletic programs. This role involves collaboration with various departments to create promotional materials, manage social media accounts, and coordinate game day promotions, all aimed at increasing attendance and community involvement in athletic events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for all athletic programs, focusing on increasing visibility, attendance, and community engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate in-game promotions, halftime shows, and special events to enhance the fan experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase fan engagement through social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Assist in identifying and securing sponsorship opportunities for the athletic department.
  • Maintain and enhance the brand image of the athletic department through consistent messaging and creative marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with athletic department staff, coaches, and student organizations to align marketing efforts with team goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sports marketing, promotions, or a related area.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital media, and fan engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with social media management, content creation, and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and design applications such as InDesign or Photoshop.
  • CPR certification preferred.
