We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to serve as the Assistant Athletic Director, Sport Psychology and Wellness. This role will provide clinical psychology and performance optimization services to student-athletes, ensuring their mental health and well-being are prioritized. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of philosophies, policies, and procedures for sport psychology service operations, supporting our mission of holistic student-athlete development. In this position, the Assistant Athletic Director will direct and provide mental health services, including individual psychotherapy, psychological assessments, mandated substance abuse referrals, and crisis intervention for student-athlete mental health emergencies. The role involves overseeing a network of mental health providers, including full-time Clinical and Sport Psychologists, and ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. Additionally, the Assistant Athletic Director will coordinate the Sport Psychiatry Residency program in partnership with the UArizona College of Medicine, ensuring students receive the necessary training and education to complete their degree requirements. The successful candidate will also facilitate interdisciplinary Health and Wellness Meetings, coordinate support services for student-athletes, and consult with teams and coaches regarding performance optimization and mental health needs. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.
