About the position

The Assistant Athletic Director for the Winter 2024-2025 Season is responsible for supporting the Director of Athletics in managing the interscholastic athletic program at the City School District of New Rochelle. This temporary position involves overseeing various aspects of athletic operations, including planning, coordination, and supervision of sports teams during the winter season.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning the pre-season coaches meeting
• Supervise a sports team upon short notice
• Assist the Director of Athletics in planning the end-of-season sports awards assembly
• Ensure end-of-season reports and awards lists are submitted by coaches
• Review athletic practice and contest schedule for conflicts
• Review the weekly transportation schedule
• Maintain a list of supply needs
• Coordinate facilities preparation for after school practices and contests
• Coordinate contest set-up (officials, clock/scoreboard, sound system) after school
• Coordinate practice areas on days of inclement weather
• Provide supervision for practices/games and work with on-site security personnel

Requirements

• Understanding of NYS Public High School Athletic Association and Section One rules
• Experience with high school athletics and interscholastic athletic programs

Benefits
