Troy University is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer within the Department of Athletics, specifically overseeing Baseball and an additional sport to be determined. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Associate Director of Athletics for Athletic Training in delivering comprehensive health care to student-athletes participating in various athletic programs. This role encompasses a supervisory function in all phases of athletic training within a traditional college setting, ensuring that student-athletes receive the necessary support for their health and performance needs. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing athletic medicine services during team practices and competitions, which may require travel. This includes the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses sustained by student-athletes. The position also involves maintaining medical records for all assigned athletes, designing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and managing the athletic training room, including the maintenance and storage of supplies and equipment. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with coaches, athletic trainers, physicians, and physical therapists to create a supportive environment that promotes the well-being and performance of student-athletes.
