Responsibilities

  • Assist with providing medical care and coverage for twelve intercollegiate sports.
  • Travel and provide athletic training coverage for selected sports, emphasizing football and baseball.
  • Maintain comprehensive injury, treatment, and rehabilitation records.
  • Develop rehabilitation and strengthening strategies for treatment, prevention, and off-season periods.
  • Handle pre-participation physical examinations for all student-athletes.
  • Attend departmental and athletic training staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • NATABOC certification as an athletic trainer.
  • Illinois Licensed or eligible before start date.
  • 2+ years' experience at the collegiate level.
  • CPR and First Aid certified and meet the education minimum standards of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
