About the position

The Assistant Audio Engineer will support live recording sessions during late-night jam sessions, primarily on Tuesday nights. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about music, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented, providing an opportunity to learn and grow in a creative environment while working closely with a lead engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in live recording sessions every Tuesday night from 10 PM to 2 AM, arriving by 9:30 PM for preparation.
• Help with technical aspects of casual late-night jam sessions, including data entry, adjusting sound settings, and managing inputs in the recording software.
• Follow detailed data entry workflows to maintain project accuracy.
• Work closely with the lead engineer to ensure smooth operation during recording sessions.
• Work with AI tools to create plugin setups.
• Tuning guitars and buying beer.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of audio equipment and recording technology.
• Expert with Mac computers and a willingness to learn recording setups.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise workflows.
• Ability to work late hours on Tuesday nights.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Experience with ChatGPT required.
• Experience with music production is a plus.
