About the position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a passionate Assistant Bread Baker to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on producing a unique selection of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads using honest, whole ingredients. The Assistant Bread Baker will be responsible for following recipes, ensuring food quality, and providing excellent customer service while working in a supportive and community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to create artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure high food quality.
• Lift and mix large amounts of dough and supplies weighing over 50 lbs.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal food handling and sanitation standards.
• Work flexible hours, including afternoons and nights, with potential overnight shifts during holiday seasons.

Requirements

• Proven experience in large-scale baking or pastry (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift heavy items (50 lbs. or more) and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in the kitchen environment.
• At least 18 years of age to be considered for the role.
