About the position

The Assistant Banking Center Manager at Midland States Bank is responsible for driving business development and assisting in the management of the banking center's sales and operations. This role involves coaching staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving company objectives through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the sales and operations of the Banking Center.
• Coach Bankers and Tellers on customer service and sales techniques.
• Proactively sell banking services to retail customers and develop business clients.
• Maintain a customer base and deepen existing relationships.
• Support portfolio growth by identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Deliver quality customer service and adhere to approved quality standards.
• Provide timely performance feedback to employees through various meetings and evaluations.
• Assist in staff scheduling and timesheet approval.
• Communicate effectively with Retail staff and drive sales through quality service.
• Track and monitor sales opportunities in customer information software.
• Participate in onsite visits to promote banking services.
• Accurately process customer transactions and safeguard against fraud.
• Conduct outbound teleconsulting to expand client relationships.
• Participate in community activities and train new hires.
• Achieve personal and team goals as set.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in banking or sales.
• Broad knowledge of bank systems, consumer loans, and deposit accounts.
• Cash handling and customer service experience.
• Proven sales experience.
• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required.
