Assistant Bookkeeper

About the position

The Assistant Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records of J&K Roofing, a well-established roofing and exteriors company. This position involves processing payments, handling general bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in relation to QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconciling and maintaining the job files
• Conduct account reconciliation and analysis
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Utilize accounting software QuickBooks for data entry and reporting
• Perform clerical duties related to bookkeeping tasks
• Ensure accuracy in financial records and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience in general ledger accounting and bookkeeping
• Familiarity with accounting software QuickBooks and a CRM program
• Proficiency in 10-key, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong understanding of account reconciliation procedures
• Additional office support as needed
