About the position
The Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach at Coal Ridge Middle School is responsible for supporting the head coach in developing and implementing a successful wrestling program for middle school students. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes, while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting wrestling practices and competitions.
- Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes in wrestling techniques and strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages student participation and development.
- Monitor student-athletes' academic performance and provide support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
- Experience in coaching or participating in wrestling at a competitive level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school level or higher.
- Knowledge of current wrestling techniques and strategies.
