About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) position is an entry-level role within a growing financial services company, designed to provide a clear path to management. This role focuses on helping customers meet their financial goals through consumer loans and voluntary products. The ABM will undergo an 18-24 month paid training program, gaining essential skills in branch management and customer service, with opportunities for promotion to Branch Manager, which may require relocation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in meeting their financial goals by recommending suitable loan products.
  • Educate customers on consumer lending services, including credit improvement and debt consolidation.
  • Guide customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls as needed.
  • Evaluate loan applications and perform risk analysis to make informed credit decisions.
  • Administer loan closings and process insurance claims.
  • Support the Branch Manager in recruiting and training new staff.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet sales goals and promote core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • 1 year or more of customer-facing sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history and credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or goal-oriented sales environments.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending services.
