About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) position is an entry-level role within a growing financial services company, designed to provide a clear path to management. This role focuses on helping customers meet their financial goals through consumer loans and voluntary products, while also preparing the ABM for future promotion to Branch Manager through an extensive on-the-job training program. The position emphasizes performance, community involvement, and employee growth, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in meeting their financial goals by recommending suitable loan products.
  • Educate customers on consumer lending services, including credit improvement and debt consolidation.
  • Guide customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls as needed.
  • Evaluate loan applications and perform risk analysis to make informed credit decisions.
  • Administer loan closings and process insurance claims.
  • Support the Branch Manager in recruiting and training new staff.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet sales goals and promote core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • 1 year or more of customer-facing sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance with a satisfactory driving record are required.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history and credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or goal-oriented sales environments is a plus.
