The Assistant Branch Manager at Austin Telco Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in leading a dedicated team to enhance member satisfaction and community relations. This position involves overseeing branch operations, mentoring employees, and ensuring exceptional service delivery while maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial services and a passion for developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the branch.
• Perform all functions a Teller would perform.
• Assist members in obtaining and closing loans.
• Maintain knowledge of the online computer system for accurate information posting.
• Familiarity with security procedures, including alarms and cash vaults.
• Balance cash drawer in a timely manner.
• Assist members with purchasing money orders, teller checks, and other financial products.
• Issue stop-payments and VCC/VISA cards using Card@Once.
• Close accounts ensuring no outstanding transactions or balances.
• Assist the branch manager with vault balancing and audits.
• Handle daily branch operations in the absence of the branch manager.
• Cross-sell credit union services to members.
• Open, close, and manage business accounts and IRAs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Good credit standing, verified during pre-employment stage.
• Criminal background check and drug screening required after a contingent job offer.
