  • Assist branch manager in overall daily operations of the branch.
  • Maximize sales and profitability by assisting counter parts sales members when needed.
  • Control expenses and shortages.
  • Assist in the hiring process and supervise employees.
  • Review work throughout the work process to ensure effectiveness.
  • Assist in planning work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Communicate with employees to ensure procedures are followed and new methods are implemented.
  • Appraise and document employee performance at regular intervals.
  • Meet with each employee annually to review performance and discuss goals.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Counsel employees in work-related activities and personal growth.
  • Report work-related injuries to the Safety Department.
  • Work the parts counter daily to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all walk-in customers are greeted and assisted promptly.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in order filling.
  • Post all inventory receipts and invoice all sales daily.
  • Deposit all cash receipts as per accounting instructions.
  • Process vendor invoices according to accounting instructions.
  • Suggest inventory additions or deletions and update catalogues as needed.
  • Assist with inventory reports and take corrective action on negative quantities.
  • Establish preventive maintenance plans for equipment and conduct daily inspections.
  • Maintain the branch appearance, including cleaning and restocking display areas.
  • Ensure proper telephone answering procedures are followed.
  • Be responsible for core daily operations in the absence of the branch manager.
  • Work on special projects as appointed by the Branch Manager.
  • High School Diploma (or GED); Associate's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the heavy-duty truck parts industry with progressive responsibility.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in retail or service management.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
