About the position

The Assistant Branch Operations Manager supports the Branch Operations Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves direct supervision of warehouse associates and delivery drivers, as well as participation in safety training and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 2 or more associates in warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training associates.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work for warehouse staff.
  • Assist with performance appraisals and recommend rewards or disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with the Branch Operations Manager.
  • Interface with sales department and customers regarding service.
  • Maintain daily workflow for delivery orders.
  • Ensure replenishment orders and returned merchandise are processed according to company standards.
  • Participate in planning personnel safety and training activities.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in warehouse operations or management.
  • Strong computer skills for operational tasks and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with associates and customers.
  • Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak other languages is helpful but not required.
