About the position
The Assistant Branch Sales Manager at the State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU) is responsible for leading and developing a successful sales and service team within the branch. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and operational excellence, ensuring that the branch meets its sales goals while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a successful sales and service team.
- Ensure the branch meets its sales goals and operational standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and potential members.
- Manage daily operations of the branch, including staff scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Conduct training and workshops to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with team members and upper management regarding branch performance and challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in a related financial services company.
- At least two years of direct supervisory or management experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Associates Degree desired with knowledge of credit union and/or financial institution rules, regulations, and policies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and tact.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities under pressure.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves
- BS/BA degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a credit union environment.
