About the position

The Assistant Brand Manager at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a dynamic role focused on managing and growing the Buns & Rolls portfolio, which includes well-known brands such as Ball Park, Sara Lee, and Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat. This position involves data analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to support brand initiatives and drive growth in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Become the subject matter expert for key data resources including Circana/IRI and Margin Miner.
  • Conduct data analysis of business results and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide in-depth analysis to determine opportunities for growth.
  • Provide relevant reports, gather key competitive intelligence, distill key learnings, develop recommendations, and report findings to the team.
  • Responsible for maintenance of current product portfolio, including item system updates and sales communication materials.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for minor product updates like recipe and packaging changes.
  • Support the development of new items/flavors including ideation through commercialization.
  • Manage sample requests, sales team requests, and budget invoicing on behalf of the Buns & Rolls brand team.
  • Support the Marketing Director and Brand Manager across daily brand activities.
  • Assist the team in the annual planning process and inter-agency teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in brand management or related roles.
  • Experience with syndicated and/or market research & consumer data required.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Circana/Nielsen and internal sales systems.
  • Strong public speaking skills and presentation development capabilities.
  • A desire to learn the principles of marketing and brand management.
