About the position

The Assistant Business Office Manager at Sheridan Medical Lodge is a part-time role focused on supporting the Business Office Manager in essential administrative and financial tasks within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This position combines administrative expertise with compassionate interaction, ensuring that residents and their families receive exceptional service and support throughout their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Office Manager to provide critical support in financial and administrative operations.
  • Maintain accurate resident census reports and collaborate with other departments to ensure up-to-date occupancy records.
  • Oversee and audit resident trust accounts with precision, ensuring secure fund management and compliance.
  • Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications, guiding them through the process and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage multiple payment methods, including credit cards, ACH, and checks, ensuring secure and efficient processing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in business administration or healthcare management are a plus.
  • Previous experience with Medicaid processes and billing preferred.
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion and adhere to strict privacy standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate various portals, platforms, and software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused attitude.
