About the position

The Assistant Buyer for Corporate Footwear at Dillard's is responsible for supporting the buying team in managing brand performance and achieving financial goals for women's footwear across all stores nationwide. This role involves monitoring sales, inventory levels, and market trends while collaborating closely with management and the buying staff. The position is full-time and requires on-site work in Gilbert, Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Work in tandem with buyer and management to manage brand performance in order to achieve all financial goals.
  • Identify regional buying opportunities and work with buyer to implement effective action.
  • Travel throughout regions for store visits to build awareness of market nuances.
  • Daily/Weekly functions include working with buyer to monitor sales, track orders, review inventory levels, forecast reorders and markdowns.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year direct-related retail buying experience.
  • Minimum of 4 year Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Passion for retail with a high energy level and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical and math skills.
