About the position

The Assistant Buyer at Hitachi Energy is responsible for managing purchasing activities, vendor invoice processing, and inventory control with limited supervision. This role aims to enhance procurement effectiveness and customer satisfaction by collaborating with various departments and supporting senior buyers and project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
  • Purchase materials according to required specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms.
  • Support Senior Buyer with vendor management and accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators related to procurement activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related environment.
  • Strong experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience communicating with vendors regarding ordering/invoice discrepancies.
  • Strong communication skills to work with different departments.
