About the position

The Assistant Channel Marketing Manager at Lee Kum Kee is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the marketing of the company's products and services within the Canadian market. This role involves developing marketing strategies, conducting competitor analysis, and collaborating with sales teams to maximize product visibility and sales. The position requires a strong understanding of market trends and the ability to execute marketing plans effectively to drive growth and expansion of the company's offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Devises the product go-to-market process, plans timelines, and creates launch scenarios, pricing strategies, and promotions.
  • Conducts continuous competitor analysis, updates marketing data, and gathers new business intelligence to develop a detailed understanding of the market's actual needs.
  • Develops MS retail key accounts/customers development to maximize in-store shopper marketing.
  • Liaises with sales team and transforms data-led knowledge into specific strategic plans.
  • Stays alert to global food trends and the cultures of each region to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Assists Channel Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing plans and programs (including trade programs) to ensure profit growth and expansion of company products.
  • Collaborates with agencies/vendors to manage social media, create content, conduct community outreach, organize events, secure sponsorship, execute advertising campaigns, and manage PR activities.
  • Works with marketing team to supervise and handle the labels and artworks on the packaging development.
  • Maintains and updates product information at GS1 and Vendor portal.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans working with sales, advertising, and POP material production.
  • Manages and implements marketing and trade marketing activities of the product launch and promotion with sales team.
  • Leads and manages individual projects to achieve objectives within specified timelines and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training in marketing or a related field.
  • Consumer goods experience in Canada is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and multimedia graphic design tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in Power BI and SAP HANA is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Experience in the food industry/foodservice industry is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and organized with strong problem-solving skills.
