About the position

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) at Medical City Dallas is a pivotal leadership role that serves as a direct pathway to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. This role involves managing the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department to ensure effective and efficient service delivery, while also applying healthcare finance principles to enhance clinical and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department.
  • Demonstrate understanding of healthcare finance to impact clinical and financial results.
  • Execute HCA Healthcare's capital asset management process.
  • Establish expertise in productivity, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Demonstrate competence in hospital accounting, internal control environment, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish executive presence across various situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area (required).
  • Minimum of three years in finance/accounting or public accounting/audit experience.
  • Experience as a hospital Controller (preferred).
  • Previous supervisory experience (preferred).
  • CPA certification (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field (preferred).
