About the position

The Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home will lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems to enhance patient care and provider experience. This role focuses on supporting the growth of new service lines, improving safety and care team experiences with electronic health records (EHR), and acting as a liaison between clinical teams and digital solutions. The Assistant CMIO will also be involved in various committees and initiatives to ensure the effective use of digital technologies in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems for MGB Healthcare at Home.
• Support the growth of Home Hospital and Emergency Care at Home service lines.
• Improve safety and care team experience with EHR and clinical IT systems.
• Serve as a liaison to MGB Digital teams and collaborate on clinical system project execution.
• Develop and lead the site Super User Program for input on clinical information systems design.
• Represent MGB HC@H site on various committees, including the Clinical Informatics Advisory Committee.
• Identify and implement solutions to clinical and operational challenges.
• Work closely with site leadership and governance committees to prioritize digital initiatives.
• Facilitate the adoption of Epic and other information technologies at the site.

Requirements

• Active and current Massachusetts clinical license with board certification in specialty or subspecialty.
• Maintains an active clinical practice within the MGB HC@H service lines.
• Two or more years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in deploying digital clinical systems.
• Excellent knowledge of clinical workflow.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to progress, customer service, and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced training or degree in medical informatics or board certification in clinical informatics.
