About the position

The MGB Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) will lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems to enhance the Healthcare at Home (HC@H) services at Mass General Brigham. This role focuses on supporting the growth of new service lines, improving safety and care team experiences, and acting as a liaison between clinical operations and digital teams. The Assistant CMIO will also develop and lead initiatives to gather input from clinicians and ensure effective training and communication regarding digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems for MGB Healthcare at Home.
• Support the growth of Home Hospital and Emergency Care at Home service lines.
• Improve safety and care team experience with EHR and clinical IT systems.
• Serve as a liaison to MGB Digital teams and collaborate on clinical system project execution.
• Develop and lead the site Super User Program for input on clinical information systems design.
• Represent MGB HC@H site on various committees, including the Clinical Informatics Advisory Committee.
• Identify and implement solutions to clinical and operational challenges.
• Work closely with site leadership and governance committees to prioritize digital initiatives.
• Maintain a strong connection with OCMO, OCOO, and Digital teams.

Requirements

• Active and current Massachusetts clinical license with board certification in specialty or subspecialty.
• Maintains an active clinical practice within MGB HC@H service lines.
• Two or more years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in digital clinical systems deployment and optimization.
• Excellent knowledge of clinical workflow.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to progress, customer service, and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced training or degree in medical informatics or board certification in clinical informatics.
