About the position

The Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at MGB Healthcare at Home will lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems to enhance patient care and provider experience. This role focuses on supporting the growth of Home Hospital and Emergency Care at Home services while improving safety and care team experiences with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical IT systems. The Assistant CMIO will collaborate with clinicians, operations, and digital teams to address workflow needs and drive digital solutions that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of clinical information systems for MGB Healthcare at Home.
• Support the growth of Home Hospital and Emergency Care at Home service lines.
• Enhance safety and care team experience with EHR and clinical IT systems.
• Collaborate with clinicians and operations to understand workflows and needs.
• Serve as a liaison to MGB Digital teams and support clinical system project execution.
• Develop and lead the site Super User Program for clinical information systems.
• Identify and implement solutions to clinical and operational challenges.
• Become a strategic partner with MGB HC@H site leadership to promote digital solutions.
• Prioritize and support digital solution ideation, development, and implementation.
• Work with site leadership and governance committees to prioritize initiatives.

Requirements

• Active and current Massachusetts clinical license with board certification in specialty or subspecialty.
• Maintains an active clinical practice within MGB HC@H service lines.
• Two or more years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably in digital clinical systems.
• Excellent knowledge of clinical workflow.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to progress, customer service, and teamwork.
