About the position

The Assistant Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) at Metro Community Health Center is a leadership role that combines clinical responsibilities with administrative oversight. The ACMO is responsible for ensuring high-quality medical care, leading clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Direct medical intervention for patient well-being through accurate diagnosis and delivery of medical care.
  • Provide leadership and direction to clinical staff to meet or exceed standards of care.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in patient charting and record keeping.
  • Ensure medical treatment delivery is consistent with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare partners.
  • Monitor quality metrics and develop activities to improve care and patient experience.
  • Participate in strategic planning and administrative decision-making with senior management.
  • Recruit, hire, and evaluate medical and healthcare staff.

Requirements

  • BE/BC degree in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Minimum five years' experience as a hospitalist with management/leadership experience.
  • Experience working with advanced practice providers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality measures, such as HCAHPS, MHACS.
  • Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, PA State Controlled Substance Registration.
