About the position
Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing which includes directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.
Responsibilities
- Direct all services provided by the Nursing Services Department.
- Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care.
- Contribute to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts.
- Provide supervision to the nursing staff assigned to the unit.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated Leadership experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Thorough knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment.
- Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
