About the position

Stanford University School of Medicine and the Heart Center Clinical and Translational Research Program (CTRP) is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) to perform administrative support duties related to the collection of clinical data and/or the coordination of clinical studies in pediatric cardiology. The ACRC will work under the supervision of the principal investigator and/or study coordinator/supervisor, contributing to the successful execution of clinical research projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all aspects of the clinical studies are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The ACRC will be responsible for scheduling and contacting subjects for appointments, as well as providing reminders and other necessary communications to participants. This includes preparing, distributing, and processing questionnaires, and performing clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents. The ACRC will maintain all forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs, and will file all appropriate correspondence to ensure that documentation is organized and accessible. In addition to administrative tasks, the ACRC will assist with the screening, recruiting, and obtaining consent of study participants. This may involve reviewing medical records and conducting telephone or in-person interviews to gather necessary data. The ACRC will administer standard study questionnaires and tests, score test measurements and questionnaires, and code data for computer entry. A quantitative review of forms, tests, and other measurements for completeness and accuracy will also be part of the role. The ACRC will extract data from source documents for research studies as directed, collect data, and complete case report forms. They will also prepare, process, and ship specimens/samples accurately under well-defined requirements. Ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies, processing study compensation payments, and sending thank you letters to subjects upon completion of trial activities are additional responsibilities. The ACRC may also assist with post-study activities as needed. All members of the Department of Pediatrics are engaged in continuous learning and improvement to foster a culture where diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice are central to all aspects of our work. The Department collectively and publicly commits to continuously promoting anti-racism and equity through its policies, programs, and practices at all levels.
