About The Position

The Assistant Club Coach for Men's Ice Hockey at Stevenson University supports the intercollegiate club ice hockey program under the supervision of the Club Coach. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of progressively responsible experience in coaching or a related field.
• Significant coaching experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commitment to Division III philosophy and experience with ACHA guidelines.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of current recruiting strategies and software.
• Experience in developing and motivating students academically and athletically.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of training and practice sessions.
• Organize pregame activities and scouting reports.
• Manage team travel arrangements.
• Recruit student-athletes and maintain a recruiting database.
• Conduct recruiting tours of the University.
• Provide instruction and knowledge of collegiate club ice hockey.
• Communicate professionally with coaching staff and players.
• Monitor the conditioning and training of student-athletes.
• Develop routines and strategies for individual athletes.
• Assist with daily administrative duties of the program.
• Schedule practices and competitions, interfacing with other schools.
• Participate in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as approved.
• Represent the Department at various events and community activities.
• Assist with fundraising opportunities and budget preparations.
