The University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Coach & Director of Operations for the Women's Lacrosse program. This position reports directly to the Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse and the Director of the Penn Athletics Wharton Leadership Academy (PAWLA). The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the women's lacrosse program, managing all logistics including recruiting, team travel, team meals, and fueling stations. The role also involves providing administrative support to the coaching staff, supervising a team of student managers, managing the recruiting database, and organizing all program scheduling. Additionally, the Assistant Coach will assist with alumni relations, equipment ordering, and budget management, ensuring a comprehensive student-athlete experience within the PAWLA framework. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for managing operations and logistics for all PAWLA programming and communications. This includes scheduling facilities and room rentals, coordinating calendars with colleagues in Wharton and CSAS, and serving as a liaison between PAWLA, CSAS, and Wharton. The role requires working closely with the Director to communicate the vision of PAWLA to the broader Penn community, developing and revising curriculum, and managing the application process for the PAWLA Junior program. The Assistant Coach will also coordinate logistics for various leadership ventures, workshops, and events, ensuring a high level of engagement and participation from student-athletes. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Assistant Coach will provide executive-level administrative support for the Head Coach and general support for the assistant coaches. This includes managing calendars, submitting expense reimbursements, and assisting with game-day logistics. The role requires a strong understanding of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations to ensure compliance within the lacrosse program and PAWLA. The ideal candidate will have a background in college athletics, either as a player, coach, or administrator, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
