About the position
The Assistant Coach for Girls Basketball at Emerald Ridge High School is responsible for supporting the head coach in training and developing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship. This entry-level position requires a commitment to the athletic program and the ability to work effectively with high school students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and games.
- Support the development of student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
- Promote sportsmanship and a positive team culture.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
- Ensure compliance with WIAA regulations and district policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- AED Certification.
- Experience in sports coaching, preferably at the high school level.
- Ability to work with high school students.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
