About the position
Elmira College is seeking qualified candidates for a Men's Soccer Assistant Coaching position. This position pays a salary of $5,000 with the opportunity to enroll in graduate classes, with waived or reduced tuition, at Elmira College. Discounted housing and a discounted meal plan will also be an option. This time intensive part-time position will assist the head coach in the areas of recruiting, scouting, practice and game planning/management, conducting individual workouts, academic supervising, video coordinating and breakdown as well as any other tasks pertinent to the success of the Elmira College Athletic Department. This is a 10-month appointment from 8/1 to 5/31. The pro-rated pay is $500/month based on start date.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in recruiting and scouting.
- Help with practice and game planning/management.
- Conduct individual workouts for players.
- Supervise academic progress of student-athletes.
- Coordinate and breakdown video for analysis.
- Perform any other tasks pertinent to the success of the Elmira College Athletic Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- College soccer playing or managing experience
- Valid Driver's License
Nice-to-haves
- Strength and Conditioning Certified (or willingness to obtain certification)
