About the position
The Assistant Coach for Volleyball at Strongsville Middle School is responsible for supporting the head coach in training and developing student-athletes in grades 7 and 8. This part-time position focuses on fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a competitive environment during the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and games.
- Support the development of student-athletes' skills and teamwork.
- Monitor student-athletes' academic performance and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
- Help maintain a positive and safe environment for all participants.
Requirements
- Must possess a Pupil Activity Permit.
- Completion of Coaches' Toolchest Courses is required.
- Clear BCI/FBI Background Check is mandatory.
