About the position

The Assistant Commercial Construction Project Manager & Estimator at Kinney Construction Services, Inc. is responsible for supporting the execution of commercial construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates. This role requires a strong foundation in construction project management and estimating, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards and fostering positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment for commercial projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Regularly visit job sites to monitor progress, conduct inspections, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management and/or estimating, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimating practices for commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
