About the position

The Assistant Community Association Operations Manager is a key role within the Community Operations team of a luxury residential community, responsible for ensuring a high-quality resident experience through effective communication and service. This position involves both office and fieldwork, including resident interactions, property inspections, and managing third-party service providers to uphold the community's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for owners seeking assistance from the Association, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
  • Direct over 20 third-party service providers, exemplifying the community's 'First Class' standard.
  • Assist in sourcing vendors and managing contractor relationships to ensure accountability and productivity.
  • Recommend enhancements to processes and technology to improve resident experience.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the community to ensure compliance with standards and communicate necessary corrections to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records on architectural requests, community standards inspections, lease requests, and access control approvals.
  • Act as the primary contact for the Architectural Control Board and Compliance Committee, managing meetings and documentation.
  • Support emergency operations as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in community management or hospitality industries.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations leadership.
  • Active State of Florida Community Association Manager professional license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong individual accountability and motivation as a self-starter.
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills related to Association standards and maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including phone and presentation skills, comfortable interacting with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Disney operational leadership.
  • Experience working with affluent market and/or VIP clientele.
  • Experience managing or working with third-party contractors.
  • Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS), or Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations/accreditations.
