About the position

The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in the operation of the property, assisting in various aspects such as administration, maintenance, leasing, resident relations, and financial management. Under the guidance of the Community Manager, this position ensures the property is well-maintained and operates within budgetary constraints while maximizing occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new home inventory to protect asset value through proper setup, inspections, and utilities until sale completion.
  • Perform weekly property visits to evaluate compliance with community policies regarding parking, curb appeal, pets, and maintenance.
  • Maximize operating performance by managing occupancy, delinquency, violations, and community maintenance.
  • Direct sales and marketing activities, ensuring up-to-date sales materials and online postings for homes for sale.
  • Follow up on lead management and process all sales paperwork.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of maintenance technicians and assistant managers.
  • Ensure timely collection of rents and management of delinquent accounts.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for labor and operational costs, ensuring compliance with budget performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of related management experience in retail, hospitality, or property management preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or resident relations.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software; proficiency in rent management software preferred.
  • Ability to understand and apply company policies and local, state, and federal regulations regarding facility management and fair housing.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
