As an Assistant Community Manager at Greystar, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community. This position involves a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including preparing monthly close-out and financial reports, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent and other fees, and completing bank deposits and account reconciliations. You will utilize property management software to accurately record, track, and report on all financial activities within the community, ensuring that all transactions are handled efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, which includes collecting and posting rent, preparing daily bank deposits, and reconciling bank accounts. You will also prepare financial reports and process invoices and payables, ensuring that all financial records are up to date and accurate. Your attention to detail will be essential as you review resident files and accounting records to identify any unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents regarding outstanding balances, and implement procedures for collecting on delinquencies. Additionally, you will be involved in the eviction process, following the company's established procedures and representing the community in court hearings as necessary. You will also handle resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms, applying appropriate fees, and processing dispositions in accordance with legal requirements. Promoting resident satisfaction and retention is a key aspect of this role, as you will respond to complaints and service requests in a timely manner. As the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager, you will organize and delegate daily tasks, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure that the community operates in compliance with company policies and procedures. You will also assist in managing the client/owner relationship by conducting community tours and providing updates on the community's performance.
