About the position

The Assistant Community Manager at Dayrise Residential plays a crucial role in the office team, focusing on customer service and assisting in various management tasks such as rent collection, leasing activities, renewals, and financial reporting. This position is essential for maintaining effective communication with the community's residents and ensuring a high level of service.

Responsibilities

  • Collection of rent payments and management of customer service
  • Address the concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner
  • Tours and leases apartments as necessary
  • Leads communication with delinquent residents, which may involve lease termination and legal action if necessary
  • Assist in managing the communities' budget by making sound fiscal decisions to increase the net operating income of the community
  • Help maintain the accuracy of resident ledgers and files
  • Inspects apartments during move-in and move-outs, walking apartments and the community as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Property Management
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree Preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • A clear understanding of business concepts, processes and the principles of strategic thinking
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of multifamily operations including people management, financial reporting, problem-solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations
  • Experience in MS Office Word/Excel and basic computer technology skills; OneSite experience Preferred
  • Must be able to access all apartment homes and parts of the community to show the home to potential residents; inspect all areas of community, etc.
  • Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other aspects of the community to determine that standards are met
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties and responsibilities
  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various sites
