About the position

The Assistant Community Manager at Bell Partners plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in the financial administration of a community with over 600 units. This position involves overseeing accounting functions, managing rental collections, and ensuring effective communication with residents and team members. The Assistant Community Manager may also lead the community in the absence of the Community Manager, contributing to a positive living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager in financial administration of the community.
  • Post rental collections and make bank deposits.
  • Oversee the administration of accounting functions for the community.
  • Support Leasing Consultants in leasing apartments and lease apartments if necessary.
  • Conduct monthly market surveys and recommend pricing changes.
  • Maintain and update resident lease files and computer records for the community.
  • Process notices to vacate and manage delinquency/file evictions and associated collections activities.
  • Field resident concerns and coordinate resolution with the Community Manager or leadership team.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Community Manager and Regional Manager to discuss community performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in business, sales, or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Strong collections experience and accounting/bookkeeping skills required.
  • 1+ years of experience in the property management industry preferred.
  • Previous supervisory and leasing experience preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work on a team.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel required.
  • Clear oral and written communication and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Organization and a professional image.
