Join Bell Partners Inc. as an Assistant Community Manager at our busy property located in Alameda, CA. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $34 to $36, and is an excellent opportunity for a Leasing Consultant looking to advance their career. As an Assistant Community Manager, you will play a vital role in the oversight of leasing and renewal activities, ensuring that Fair Housing guidelines are adhered to while actively participating in the leasing of apartments. You will be responsible for verifying potential resident applications and may be required to lease apartments as necessary. In this role, you will also handle rental collections, make bank deposits, and oversee the administration of accounting functions for the community. Regular meetings with the Community Manager and Regional Manager will be essential to discuss community performance and conduct monthly market surveys to recommend pricing changes. You will maintain and update resident lease files and computer records, generate reports, process notices to vacate, manage delinquency, and file evictions as necessary, along with all associated collections activities. Additionally, you may field resident concerns and coordinate resolutions with the Community Manager or other leadership team members, while performing administrative duties as assigned. To succeed in this position, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong marketing and creativity skills, and a solid working knowledge of the MS Office Suite. Familiarity with Yardi, LRO, or similar programs is preferred. You should demonstrate support for Bell Core Values, provide exceptional customer service, and work effectively as part of a team. The ability to communicate clearly, understand directives, and perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions is essential. A professional image, resourcefulness, and strong organizational skills are also key attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with oversight of leasing and renewal activity.
  • Actively participate in the leasing of apartments and ensure compliance with Fair Housing guidelines.
  • Verify potential resident applications and lease apartments as necessary.
  • Post rental collections, make bank deposits, and oversee accounting functions for the community.
  • Meet regularly with Community Manager and Regional Manager to discuss community performance.
  • Conduct monthly market surveys and recommend pricing changes.
  • Maintain and update resident lease files and computer records, including generating reports.
  • Process notices to vacate and manage delinquency/file evictions as necessary.
  • Field resident concerns and coordinate resolutions with the Community Manager or leadership team.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Community Manager.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in Property Management (Required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Driver's License (Preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong marketing and creativity skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work successfully on a team.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Resourceful and well organized.
