About the position

The Assistant Community Manager - Multifamily at Hines plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community. This position involves managing daily transactions, ensuring resident satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication with residents and owners. The role is essential for maximizing revenue and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Completes daily transactions related to the financial operation of the community by collecting and posting rent, fees, and other payments.
  • Prepares daily bank deposits and reconciles bank accounts.
  • Prepares financial reports and processes invoices and payables.
  • Reviews resident files and accounting records, communicates with residents regarding outstanding balances, and implements procedures for collecting on delinquencies.
  • Adheres to established procedures related to evictions and represents the community in court hearings as required.
  • Reviews and submits invoices from vendors, contractors, and service providers for payment.
  • Processes resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms and notice requirements.
  • Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints and service issues in a timely manner.
  • Acts as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the community manager, organizing and delegating daily work.
  • Assists in managing the client/owner relationship by conducting community tours and providing updates on community performance.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of prior experience in property management or a related industry preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
