The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager by overseeing and managing the financial and operational aspects of the community. This position involves completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly close-out and financial reports, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent and other payments, and performing bank deposits and account reconciliations. The Assistant Community Manager will utilize property management software, specifically Yardi and OneSite, to accurately record, track, and report on all financial activities within the community. The role requires a proactive approach to managing resident accounts, ensuring timely collection of fees, and maintaining effective communication with residents regarding outstanding balances. In addition to financial responsibilities, the Assistant Community Manager will also handle resident move-outs, enforce lease agreements, and promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service issues promptly. Acting as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager, this position involves organizing daily tasks, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Community Manager will also assist in managing the client/owner relationship by providing updates on community performance and responding to owner requests as needed.
